If you are like most women, losing weight after a pregnancy can be really difficult. Your hormones are making life more difficult, and all you really want to be focused on is your little miracle. The last thing you want to be on your mind is the few extra pounds that came with your little miracle. It can be really hard to find the best pregnancy diet, but I have a few tips that can save you a lot of time when you are deciding on how to lose those extra pounds.
First don’t put all your eggs into a low carb basket. They do work, but can be very strenuous to follow. Not to mention very expensive. The rigorous, menu that you have to follow, takes a lot of time to shop for, and to prepare every day for every meal, and the worst part is once you stop the diet it all comes back. This is not something you want to deal with when you have your hands full with a new born baby and is probably not the best pregnancy diet for you.
The seconded tip is not to jump on bored the low calorie train. Counting calories adds stress to your life and the less calories you eat, the more your body tries to slow its natural metabolism down. Taking out a few calories is ok, but counting them to death, will only make you hungry! You don’t want to transition into eating little portions after being blessed with the ability to eat whatever you wanted for the last few months!
I also want to tell you not to go all out on the low fat diets. This can be very dangerous because we all need some of those healthy fats, and sometimes we get so focused on not eating fat that we end up causing more damage to our bodies than good. Our goal is just to lose a few pounds fast, and that is not the way to do it.
Finally, I want to let you know that the Jenny Craig, and Weight Watchers diets, etc. are very slow in their reaction time to losing weight. Those actually work, and honestly work well, but they will take a long time to take affect! Yet again at this point in your life you want to lose that weight and find the best pregnancy diet for you.
