The 14-day (even 10-day) grapefruit and pineapple diet is dangerous. Why? It’s just too much restrictive. You will miss out on so many vital vitamins, minerals, lipids and proteins. Don’t do this! You are going to tire easily in your daily activities. This restrictive diet will be responsible for an important muscle wasting and will disrupt both your metabolism and your cardiovascular system.

The common idea that this type of exclusive fruit diet has the property to eat fat is not scientifically proved. For most people, this diet ends in failure. After following this diet you will probably gain back all of the weight that you have lost, plus some!

There are interesting and effective weight loss programs which do not have the disadvantages we have described before with grapefruit and pineapple diet. They respect your metabolism and don’t have any negative effect on your muscles.
